Who created GospelCentral.us?

GospelCentral.us is a free service provided by the Rock Church in San Diego. The Rock created gospelcentral.us out of a desire to create a platform for people to tell their candid story through video of how the power of the gospel changed their lives.


Will my account ever be deleted?

As long as you are following Terms of Service your account will remain intact.


Will you share or sell my email connected to my account?

No. We collect your email address to activate your profile to allow you to upload your videos to Gospel Central.


Can I change my username and/or password?

Sure! Gospel Central uses JuiceID, a single sign-on credentialing system that allows you to sign in with one username and password to any app that uses JuiceID. To change your username or password, visit JuiceID.net.

How can I change the order of the videos under My Videos?

While viewing your videos on your profile page, you can change the first video that comes up on your profile, which we call My Featured Video. You can change this video by clicking on Featured Video Star icon to the left of the video’s title, making it the prominent video on your profile page. The remaining videos on your profile page are arranged by date in which they were uploaded to your profile.


How do I edit my profile?

You can get to your Profile Settings by clicking on Edit Profile on your profile page in the right hand corner. Once you've finished updating your information, don't forget to save your changes.


How do I change my profile portrait?

Just click on Update Photo in your Edit Profile page and upload a new photo.


What should I write in the Bio section?

Share something about yourself, and maybe tell us why you use Gospel Central. What do you do for a profession? What are your hobbies? What’s your favorite inspirational quote? This is where you can include a little bit about yourself and what makes you unique.

Can I upload any video that I want?

Not Exactly. You must own or hold all necessary rights (copyrights, etc.) to your video. You can upload videos that you appear in or helped create (as director, DP, editor, musician, motion graphics artist, actor, etc.) as long as you have the necessary permissions from the copyright holders. Please add your role in the video description to avoid deletion.


What video formats does Gospel Central allow?

If possible, use the h.264 codec. The framerate should be 24, 25 oder 30 fps. The best resolution is 1280×720 (HD) or 1920×1080 (Full HD) 16:9 format. Have a look for good sound quality and no noise in the background. You can upload the following formats: .mov, .avi, .mpg, .mp4, .m4v.


How large can my video file be on Gospel Central?

The maximum size of any video is 500 MB.


What kind of content is allowed in my video?

Well let’s tell you what’s NOT allowed, and that should help point you in the right direction:

  • No rips of movies, music, television, or any other third party copyrighted material.
  • No sexually explicit material or pornography. This includes artistic and non-sexual nudity.
  • No videos that are hateful, harass others, or include defamatory or discriminatory speech.
  • No videos that depict or promote unlawful acts, extreme or real-life violence, self-harm, or cruelty toward animals.
  • No videos that include profanity in the form of words, expressions, gestures, or other social behaviors that is construed or interpreted as insulting, vulgar, obscene, foul, or desecrating.

How can I share my videos with others?

You can share your videos by using our Facebook, Twitter and email share options located on each video. In addition, you can share through text message and other social media avenues located on each video in the app.


Can I request a video that I upload on Gospel Central if I lose the video or delete it from my profile; those that I upload from a personal device or those I create through the testimony video builder?

Sorry no. Gospel Central is not liable for any videos that are deleted from your profile. We recommend that you check that your video files are saved to your personal device(s).


Can I download a video I upload through the testimony video builder?

Sorry no. At this time if you would like to save your video, we recommend that you record your video on a device you can save the video, then use the upload video option.


What are tags?

Tags are keywords or terms that describe your video. For example, if you tag your testimony video with the words “fatherlessness” and “divorce” you'll be able to easily find other related videos and it makes it easier for other Gospel Central users to find videos they can watch that related to them or they can share with others. Our moderators will choose tags that best associate with your video during the approval process.


What are Tag Facts?

Tag Facts are facts, biblical scripture and resources that are associated with a specific tag to be used as a resource to both the person who wants to share a video with someone and the person watching the video who struggles/relates to a particular tag.

How do I find more videos I might like?

There are lots of ways on Gospel Central to find great videos! First you can start on the Home Page, and discover videos through three tabs. First you can click on Most Popular which highlights the most popular videos ever viewed on Gospel Central. Next, you can click on Trending which highlight the most popular videos trending that week. Or click on Newest which highlight the most recently uploaded videos by users to see what’s new on Gospel Central.

Explore our Advanced Search to find videos curated around certain tags, age range, nationality, language, or keywords associated to users, titles and/or descriptions of videos that might interest you.

Under each video, check out the Related Videos section to watch videos that have related tags to the video you just watched.

Found a person you could really relate to his/her video? Check out additional videos by that user under that user’s Other Videos.


What is the point of favoriting a video?

Favoriting a video is a simple way to store videos you were compelled by that you want to quickly find later and re-watch.


How do I favorite a video?

Just click the heart button in the top right corner located on each video. That’s it.


How do I unfavorite a video?

Click on the heart button in the top right corner of the video again and your favorite will be undone.


Where can I see all the videos I have favorited?

Under the menu bar click on Favorites. There you can view every video you've ever favorited on Gospel Central. We bet there's some profound and inspirational videos there!

The Internet gives us the opportunity to share stories in such an impactful way, but it also gives people the means to insult and/or harass others without taking full responsibility for their words. We insist that you respect others and their videos while on Gospel Central. You are free to ask questions, initiate rich conversation and provide feedback and/or disagree, but please keep it respectful. Gospel Central reserves the right to remove comments and/or deactivate accounts of those who leave inappropriate comments.

Don’t be that Guy (or Girl)

We encourage you to watch, share, comment and like on other people’s videos and favorite videos to quickly re-watch later.  Please don’t saturate Gospel Central with spam videos that will disrupt people’s experience here. Please no commercial or business content. Any videos deemed spammy, commercially driven or promoting a business or organization, Gospel Central reserves the right to delete these videos.


How do I leave a comment and/or like a video?

Gospel Central uses Facebook plug-in for both likes and comments. Simply sign in to your Facebook account to leave a comment and/or like a video.


Can I like my own videos?

Yup, you can like your own videos.


Someone has left a nasty comment on a video! How do I let Gospel Central know?

Thanks for noticing! We appreciate our Gospel Central community letting us know these things to keep the experience here at Gospel Central great for everyone. Simply click Spam in the Facebook plug-in comment section and it’ll flag the comment for our moderators to check it out. Gospel Central reserves the right to hide any comment and/or delete profile of any person who adds inappropriate comments.


What should I do if I see someone leave a comment about desiring to hurt himself/herself or another person, commit suicide, or any other seriously related topic?

We live in a hurting world, and with this, comes serious issues people are facing each and every day! If someone comments about or you personally are suffering with any seriously related topic, please click on the Doctor’s Briefcase button in the top right corner located on any video. Fill out the form and leave as much information as you can in the comment section. Our moderators will follow up with the situation. I Need Help/ Someone Needs Help
